Here we are, moving along to Evettte and Arthur’s fabulous wedding at the U of A Faculty Club on August 12th. I love Friday weddings! It’s nice to be able to go out and photograph and not worry about running into lots of other wedding parties, especially when you choose to do photos on the U of A campus, it’s quite the destination for wedding photos in Edmonton. This is one of my favourite shots of Evette & Arthur because they look so darn stylish!

Edmonton Wedding Photographer | Leanne & Tyler | Wedding Sneak Peek
Wowee… August was a crazy month for me for weddings… I had 8 of them and I’m only now getting the chance to even blog the sneak peeks! August 5th was a gorgeous day that was spent with Leanne and Tyler and their amazing wedding party! Their ceremony and reception was at the fabulous Union Bank Inn downtown, so we stayed close by for all of the family and wedding party photos. Here’s one of my favourites of the wedding party in an awesome downtown parkade!
Edmonton Wedding Photographer | Kathryn & Lucas | Sneak Peek
Last weekend I had the pleasure of second shooting a fabulous wedding with Sheri from Capture It Photography at Shalom Park. I love the chance to second shoot because I’m not the one running the show and I get to try some different angles that I normally wouldn’t get to do otherwise, so it’s always super fun for me. Plus, I love being at weddings, so I go as often as I can! Kathryn & Lucas were a fabulous couple and I really loved getting to tag along to watch such wonderful people get married. Here’s one of my favourite wedding party shots from the day in downtown Edmonton on the way to the LRT.
Edmonton Wedding Photographer | Kelly & Dwight’s wedding at the Muttart Conservatory
Kelly and Dwight share the same anniversary long weekend as Derek and I do and I was very excited to photograph their wedding. I met up with the girls at Kelly’s parent’s home for the getting ready and was instantly in love with Kelly’s sparkly silver Stuart Weitzman shoes. They were fabulous! Kelly had an army of ladies helping her get into her gorgeous dress before we headed into the backyard for a few photos before the awesome limo arrived to whisk them away to church. Kelly had a gorgeous white bouquet from Flowers By Merle (Coincidentily, that’s where my wedding flowers were from too!). The ceremony was at St Theresa’s and was filled with friends and family. Afterwards we headed to the Kinsman Park area for photos under the bridge before going to the Muttart Conservatory for the reception. The reception was absolutely fantastic, the dancefloor was packed! This was my first wedding with DJ Kwake from Urban Metropolis (who seems to be following me now since they keep showing up at a lot of my weddings lately… and I don’t mind, they rock!) and know I totally understand why they are so popular! Here’s the highlights from Kelly & Dwight’s wedding, thank you so much for letting me capture all the action!

Wedding Inspiration: Sweet tables in Aqua and Red
This fantastic table of goodies was designed by Juli from A Modern Proposal to fit an aqua and red wedding scheme. A sweet table is a nice alternative to individual favours and can really add to the overall look of the reception decor. This particulat sweet table featured a two-tier cake made in aqua with a modern red circle geometric pattern. The cake was also completed by matching sugar cookie cakes with red flowers. The cake and cookies are from Jam on Your Face and were absolutely delicious! The table featured glass jars filled with strawberry marshmallows, aqua M&Ms, blue Jelly Bellys, blue candy-coated Jordan almonds, and red Swedish Berries. As if the table of yummys wasn’t pretty enough, Juli put together two pomanders of red carnations to complete the table, along with a great aqua and red polka-dotted table runner.
Ok, so I can’t share the actually goodies, so feast on the photos instead….!
