Ashley and Kevin had a beautiful Canada Day wedding and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect (we’ll not talk about the mosquitos that ruined our fireworks photo opportunity). We got to take their wedding photos at the beautiful Mill Creek Nursery in southeast Edmonton. More details to come on their full wedding post, but for now, enjoy this one!

Edmonton Wedding Photographer | Patti & Raj’s Wedding | Sneak Peek
Well, here we are again, less than 24 hours from getting home from Patti & Raj’s fabulous rainy wedding yesterday and I’ve already picked a few favourites to show off. Well, I’m only ging to show one here and I’m having a hard time deciding which one. Yesterday was a very soggy day in Edmonton and I’m a little unhappy that my n0-rain wish wasn’t granted. That’s ok though, we made it through and I just love the photos from the wedding. I’m not not going to give all the details about the day in this post, I’ve decided to show one image out side of Convocation Hall after the ceremony where the rain stopped for just a little while before we all were whicked away to the reception. We did most of the “formals” before the ceremony when the rain just wouldn’t stop. That short window after the ceremony with just Patti & Raj was pure magic and so fresh and green! Ok, here’s one of my favourites… I love how happy and smiley they are! I hope you love it as much as I do and I am so happy I got to be their photographer!
Edmonton Portrait Photographers | Wintery engagement session near U of A in Edmonton with Kelsey & Jeff
This past weekend I got together with Kelsey and Jeff on a very chilly Saturday for their engagement session. I fractured my ankle a few weeks ago so I was still rockin’ my roboboot with toes hanging out while I photographed them. I think it was a little funny to see me hobbling around after them. I absolutely adore Kelsey and Jeff, and I like them even more after spending time with them! They are so cute together! I loooove these photos and I so can’t wait for their wedding next summer in Lloydminster! Here’s a few shots from the extra chilly day!
Edmonton Wedding Photographers | Deanne and Steve’s beautiful downtown Edmonton wedding at the Citadel Theatre & Hotel MacDonald
Deanne and Steve’s wedding was my last official wedding of the season in September and it was spectacular! I’ve always been a sucker for guys in kilts, and boy was I not disappointed!
Deanne was also pretty darned amazing in a gorgeous Pronovias dress (and it had straps! I hope dresses with straps are the next big thing for wedding wear) and she was sporting half an ocean worth of pearls – so very glamourous! Went so very well with the gorgeous bouquet from Marlow & Richards.
We left the Hotel MacDonald to begin the processional, complete with a rockin’ bagpiper, to parade through downtown to the Citadel Theatre for the wedding ceremony. I was joined by the very awesome Ryan Kelly from Ryan + Beth Photographers to help me document this fabulous day (Thanks Ryan, you rule!!). After the ceremony, we shot photos with the family near the waterfall downstairs at the theatre before heading off to Churchill Square and to my favourite spot near 95 St to shoot photos with the wedding party before returning back to the hotel to just shoot Steve and Deanne together. After the photos were done, we wandered in to the gorgeously decorated reception at the Empire Ballroom (overseen by Juli of A Modern Proposal and linens from Special Event Rentals) and enjoyed a magnificent 5 course meal and an entertaining round of speeches before the party got started for the night. My favourite part of the night was Steve’s twist on the removal of the garter… he was wearing it while Deanne got to take it off him! I love a good twist on a tradition!
It was a rocking good time and I’m so happy we got to be there to capture it all! Congratulations Steve and Deanne!
