It’s been a few months since Pragya and Michael’s amazing wedding (it was a great way to celebrate my birthday hanging out with them!), and I am trying to get caught up on showing off all of the beautiful weddings I’ve photographed so far this year, so look forward to lots more action on the blog in the next month or two.
Pragya and Michael’s wedding took place over a week and I joined them for some of the festivities. We watched the tail end of the mendhi party and were there to watch friends and family sing and dance at Pragya’s mother’s home. It was quite a party and the food was amazing (from Guru!).
The wedding day was a hot and sunny day and we went early to the Devonian Gardens to enjoy another feast by Guru before we got to work. ) This wedding was only my second Indian wedding ever, so I was constantly fascinated by everything that I saw surrounding me and I loved all of the different traditions and events leading up to the ceremony. The ceremony was an an absolutely spectacular site with design by ID Bohemia (they designed the reception too!). It was a fabulous Hindu ceremony and afterwards we photographed Michael and Pragya in the Japanese gardens before heading off to their amazing reception at the Coast Edmoton East Hotel in Sherwood Park.We had such an amazing time with Michael and Pragya and I wished the night never ended, it was so much fun! Here’s some of my favourite images from their gorgeous wedding!
