I was super excited to head to Banff for Mikaela & Bob’s wedding! We met up with them at Buffalo Mountain Lodge, which has become one of my favourite places in Banff for a wedding, to hang while everyone got ready. I loved Mikaela’s dress and the bridesmaids’ dresses as well (the blue was fabulous!). I also loved the girls’ cowboy boots… they looked awesome with their dresses! After getting ready, we headed into town to the ceremony at the gazebo. After doing family photos be the river, we headed out near Two-Jack Lake to take some photos near the water. We sent Mikaela & Bob out to a little island for some photos of the two of them before sending out the wedding party… I’m so happy they didn’t think I was toooo crazy for making them hike out through the water! We also managed to get the bride & groom into a canoe for a few shots as well before heading to the fields on the way to Bankhead where we also stopped for some champagne and a few photos at the ruin’s of the old church. We had a blast with Mikaela, Bob and the crew… such a good time with a super fun bridal party! We ended the night at Buffalo Mountain Lodge for the beautiful reception featuring sunflowers and amazing horseshoe table numbers that were made by the family. It really couldn’t have been any more perfect! Congratulations Mikaela & Bob!

Canmore Portrait Photographer | Julie & Adam | post-wedding couples session
Oh, we’re going a while back here to October for this lovely portrait session in Canmore with Julie & Adam. We had been trying to figure out when to do the session for a few months before we could settle on a date. Originally it was going to be an an engagement shoot, but we couldn’t get our schedules to match up before their wedding in August (Julie just so happens to be an awesome wedding photographer based in Canmore… lucky girl!) so we decided to do a post-wedding shoot in their fabulous wedding clothes with the beautiful Canmore landscape as the backdrop. These are some of my favourite images from the post-wedding couples shoot!
Canmore Wedding Photographers | Bethany & Jason | Silvertip Resort wedding
Bethany & Jason’s Canmore destination wedding was the last wedding of my three wedding weekend, and boy, it was a fabulous way to end a very busy weekend! Leaving Edmonton, the weather was so-so, but as I got closer to Canmore, the weather just got better and better! The ceremony was outside on a gorgeous plateau at Silvertip Resort overlooking the mountains. We stayed around Silvertip for most of the photos, although we did go down into the river in Canmore. The reception was also at Silvertip and it was just perfect!!
Just look at that backdrop for the ceremony! Stunning!
Jason was so excited when he caught a glimpse of Bethany stepping out of the limo.
Their nephew was adorable trying to ring to bell to welcome Bethany.
Canmore Wedding Photographer | Bethany & Jason at Silvertip Resort | Sneak Peek
A few weeks ago I had a super busy wedding weekend and left the rain behind in Edmonton to head out to Canmore for Bethany and Jason’s wedding at Silvertip Resort. I am absolutely in love with the first dance photos where they danced outside on the patio with the golf course and the rocky mountains as a breathtaking backdrop. Here’s one of my favourites from the dance!
Kananaskis Wedding Photographer| Kaliegh & Mike’s wedding at Nakoda Lodge | Sneak peek
I was all set to have last weekend off and not shoot any weddings, but was lured to the Canmore area because I wanted to shoot with John Boccabella again. He always has such beautiful weddings. So I packed up friday morning and got hopelessly lost on my way to Canmore. Turns out it was Kananaskis that I was heading to and my GPS didn’t have the sense to tell me otherwise. I admit I got a little bit lost in an absolutely gorgeous part of the province, but I finally made my way to Nakoda on the Lake (I was still an hour early, whew, good thing I planned to be extra early… or good thing i’m not opposed to driving really fast….) where the wedding was going to take place. It was an extra windy day and I swear I saw a small child fly through the air at one point. Ok, not true, but the extra cute ring bearer and flower girl seemed to have a hard time walking down the aisle against the wind. Despite the wind, it was a gorgeous wedding and I was so happy to be there to help capture it. Here’s on of my favourite’s from the portrait session with lots more to come later!
