Oh boy I am ever excited about these new albums! They are absolutely stunning and they are just the perfect album to show off your wedding, or if you are that daring, they make a great boudoir album as well! The cover is totally customizable and it feels awesome! The pages of the album are meant to be touched and have a great silk feel. This is an album you’ll cherish for many years and is meant to be an heirloom (well, I don’t know if you’d want the family to have your boudoir album, but definitely pass along the wedding album!). These albums have a super fast turnaround time so you don’t have to wait months for them! Love them! Can’t wait to show you more of them!
Edmonton Photographer | Gorgeous new albums for weddings & boudoir
January 7th, 2012Edmonton Wedding Photographer | Tierza & Matthew | Northern Bear Golf Course Wedding
January 2nd, 2012Tierza and Matthew got married on a VERY warm day back in July. We met up with Matthew at their home where we took a few shots of everyone just hanging out and then a few family photos before heading off to meet up with Tierza and the girls for getting ready pictures. Well, we thought there would be getting ready pictures, but she was so excited to get ready that is was all done by the time we got there! So, we hung out in the back yard for photos and watched Tierza catch frogs (I honestly didn’t think there were frogs in Alberta, so I got a bit freaked out when one hopped at me! It’s been a long time since I’d seen them back East!) before heading over to the Northern Bear Golf course for the outdoor ceremony on the patio. After the ceremony, we stuck around the golf course doing photos before heading back to the reception early to do the cake cutting before it fell over from the heat. It was a great day and we had lots of fun!
A little bit of getting ready silliness.
I love how Moms can fix everything by licking, and they still do it, even when you are old enough to married!

Gosh, the hugs are sweet.
I’ve never seen a bride catch frogs on her wedding day before! We didn’t make Tierza kiss it since she already had her prince!

I love when the formal pictures get silly!

Edmonton Wedding Photographer | Ring Shot places 12th in WPJA Q3 contest
December 26th, 2011This was pretty exciting news on Christmas Eve. I got the e-mail from the WPJA (Wedding Photo Journalist Association) about the Q3 contest results and was super excited to see one of my Ring Shots placed in the Top 20 for the Ring Details category! The WPJA has tons of talented photographers, so I’m pretty happy. Next goal is to break the Top 10! I think we’ll do it in 2012!
Here’s the ring shot from a super fun wedding in Red deer this past summer:
Red Deer Wedding Photographers | Maria & Kevin | Coronation Park & Black Knight Inn
December 11th, 2011This one is taking us back to a glorious day in July for Maria and Kevin’s outdoor wedding ceremony at Coronation Park in Red Deer. I love outdoor ceremonies, I just don’t get to photograph them enough. There’s always lots of light, and lots of space to run around for different angles, and I don’t have to worry about my shoes squeaking on the grass
The weather was just fabulous with a little bit of cloud cover for the ceremony in the park. After the ceremony we stayed around in the park for some family photos and few of the wedding party before heading over to the most amazing building in Red Deer, which just so happened to be home to an accounting firm. I love finding unique locations, and I’m willing to bet that Maria and Kevin were the first to have their wedding photos at that gorgeous building. Lucky we were there and they were so nice to let us come inside when the sky darkened and Red Deer was pummeled with hail! After the hail let up, we ended the photos at the old train bridge before going to the reception to grab some details at the Black Knight Inn. Luckily, the crazy weather passed quickly so the drive back to Edmonton in anticipation the next days’ wedding went smoothly.
So, you think it’s funny to show cans of OFF!… i think the OFF! was a guest at about 90% of my weddings this past year… it was a bad time for mosquitos in AB!

Beautiful location for an outdoor ceremony if you are looking for a spot in Red Deer.

I love the last hugs and kisses before Maria is “given away”.
Canmore Wedding Photographers | Bethany & Jason | Silvertip Resort wedding
December 5th, 2011Bethany & Jason’s Canmore destination wedding was the last wedding of my three wedding weekend, and boy, it was a fabulous way to end a very busy weekend! Leaving Edmonton, the weather was so-so, but as I got closer to Canmore, the weather just got better and better! The ceremony was outside on a gorgeous plateau at Silvertip Resort overlooking the mountains. We stayed around Silvertip for most of the photos, although we did go down into the river in Canmore. The reception was also at Silvertip and it was just perfect!!
Just look at that backdrop for the ceremony! Stunning!

Jason was so excited when he caught a glimpse of Bethany stepping out of the limo.

Their nephew was adorable trying to ring to bell to welcome Bethany.
