Edmonton Wedding Photographers | Awesome ring shot gets honourable mention on Junebug Weddings!

Ok, so yesterday I saw that that Junebug Weddings had posted some more shots from their Best of 2010 Weddings, so of course I went to look to see the awesomeness. As I was scrolling down, I saw the top of a photo that looked super familar and as I kept scrolling, I realized… oh my gosh! It’s my favourite ring shot from Tracey and Marek’s wedding! What a great surprise!

So, go check out it out here: http://junebugweddings.com/blogs/photobug/archive/2011/01/07/honorable-mention-detail-photo-submissions-from-the-best-of-the-best-2010.aspx and check out the other awesome detail shots from other photographers too!

The ENV Photography booth at Love Story Expo in Spruce Grove

This past weekend My hunny Derek and I headed out to Spruce Grove for the Love Story Expo wedding fair. I’m in love with all of my new sample canvasses, and I was pretty excited about the booth set-up because I had gorgeous flowers from The Wild Orchid (don’t have a florist for your wedding? You NEED to talk to them!) and I had a gorgeous decor set-up from A Chair to Remember! Look at the lovely black and white baroque gorgeousness!

The highlight of the show was the walk-off where I awarded a wedding photography package worth $2650 to the lucky winner, Amanda Berry, who will be getting married in Edmonton next May! A pretty nice prize, if I do say so myself! The walk-off was hosted by a pretty funny dude in a wedding dress from CISN.

I was so happy to have Derek working the booth with me because he is so darn outgoing and friendly, and well, me, I’m painfully shy of course! I’m always happy when I can spend time with him because I’m away for most weekends during the summer, and definitely haven’t seen him enough! Also a big thank you to Danita for helping out in the booth too!! Who’s Danita you ask? She’s one of the queens of linens from A Chair to Remember!

So, here’s a shot of the booth, or, at least, a corner of it!

Wedding Photography contest win! Woohoo!

I got an e-mail this morning from the AGWPJA announcing that the winning photos from the 2nd quarter contest had been posted so went to take a look to see all of the awesome wedding images. I only submitted three pictures to the contest for the quarter because I got a little behind and missed the deadline, silly me. So I totally wasn’t expecting to see any of mine there. But well, you can imagine my surprise when I was going through the Ceremony category and there were Tracey and Marek! It was the super sweet shot from the ceremony where Tracey was reaching over to wipe away Marek’s tears! Joy!

I was feeling pretty proud of myself, I have to admit, because it’s not like it’s some little rinky-dink contest, it’s actually a pretty big one with images submitted by some pretty amazing photographers all over the world! So, go me! icon wink spotlight Yes, yes, before you ask, I did do a little bit of a happy dance when I saw it, it’s true!

Here’s the link to the wedding ceremony image on the AGWPJA site, and while you are there, check out some of the other images too!
