Admittedly, this summer has been a little wonky for weather, and I was a little afraid that it would rain for Carla and Nathan’s wedding on September 11, 2010. Luckily, it was a lovely sunny day when I left the studio to head to the Hertitage Ampitheatre at Hawrelak Park to catch the girls getting ready. Everyone was under the stage in the dressing rooms getting ready so we had to sneak little to make sure the boys couldn’t see in where the girls were getting dressed.
Once everyone was ready, we went up to the amphitheatre and the ceremony began! The amphitheatre is a great spot to be able to have the feel of an outdoor wedding but still be covered just in case the rain decides to come again! I’m still in love with the flowers, such gorgeous work by the Wild Orchid yet again!
After the ceremony, we took photos in the park, made friends with the geese and ducks, and then headed off to shoot more by LeMarchand Mansion overlooking the river valley.
The reception was held at Caernarvon Hall and Carla and Nathan did a great job making their centrepieces and decorating things so nicely! It was a great night of dancing and fun! Congratulations Carla and Nathan!
Also my first time with a horse in wedding photos! Larry is the horse that Candace competes in rodeos with!
