Jenny and Kerrie picked an awesome date for their wedding – 12.12.12. Yup, that’s right, December 12, 2012. Pretty cool date! It also happened to be a super chilly day, but that didn’t stop it from being beautiful. I met up with Jenny at the Union Bank Inn for a little Bridal Boudoir before we started getting ready… I’m only going to show one of those boudoir shots… It’s good to be a tease! Jenny was surrounded by some pretty fantastic ladies while she got ready. Once everyone was all dolled up, we went to the ceremony at All Saints Cathedral a few blocks away. After the ceremony we braved the cold to shoot outside near Grant McEwan before going to faBLOOMosity for thei indoor wedding photos (The Wild Orchid did the flowers for the wedding, but faBLOOMosity let us shoot in their beautiful store… Thanks Janine!) After leaving the shop, we stopped to get a few more outside shots before going back to the Union Bank Inn for the reception that was perfectly pink and vintage featuring lace and pearls… gorgeous!! It was a great day! Congratulations Jenny & Kerrie!

Edmonton Wedding Photography | Wendy & Jack | Muttart Conservatory winter wedding
Winter was in full swing when Jack and Wendy got married in November at the Muttart Conservatory. Luckily they chose the tropical pyramid for their ceremony and formal photos so we got to stay toasty and enjoy all the beautiful greenery before going out into the white wonderland for a few last portraits. Congratulations Wendy & Jack!

Katie & Chris were married on a chilly October day just before the neverending winter came to Edmonton. I joined Katie at her parents’ home for getting ready and fell in love with her red shoes and beautiful gown. Amy hung out with Chris and the boys while they were getting ready and we all met up at the Riverbend United Church for the beautiful ceremony. Afterwards we braved the wind and the rain for formal photos on the U of A grounds and in Mill Creek Ravine before heading off for a few minutes to catch their entrance to the Reception at the Riverview Room at the Shaw Conference Centre. It was a great day and it was my last wedding that I had Amy along with me before she moved to Newfoundland. Congratulations Katie & Chris!!

Amy and I had a fantastic time at Heather & Chad’s wedding is past September. The weather was great, the locations were beautiful and the people were fantastic… what more could we ask for?? I joined Heather and the girls at her parent’s home where they were getting ready and Amy met up with the guys at the Winspear where they were finishing up decorating for the ceremony. Seeing Heather’s happy smile made me know the day was just going to be perfect. After getting ready, we headed downtown to the Winspear Centre for the ceremony and it was beautiful. Chad was the most emotional groom I’ve ever seen and I love thinking about his tears when he saw Heather! After the ceremony we wandered over to the Art Gallery of Alberta for some photos and then went to the trails near Snow Valley to finish up the rest of the formal photos before heading into the lodge for the reception. What a great place for a reception, the room was gorgeous! We had some fun with the shoe game and the speeches (watch for my favourite little guy wandering through during the speeches… he was hilarious), we ended the night with some cake, some dancing and fireworks!! Congratulations Heather & Chad!!

It was a toasty day for Katie & Richard’s wedding at the Edmonton Hotel & Convention Centre, so it’s a good thing that Katie & Richard wanted to do all of their photos inside the hotel. We met up with everyone while was getting ready and I was super excited to see Katie’s awesome grey dress and her beautiful brooch bouquet! Once everyone was ready to go, we headed downstairs to the ballroom for the ceremony and then wandered around the hotel to do wedding party photos. I loved the room with the rock wall, it made the perfect backdrop for photos. Once everyone was all photo’s out, it was time to head into the reception. There were many laughs and tears during the speeches… I just love it when people show emotion at weddings! Once the formal part of night was down, the party was rockin’! We had such a great time! Congratulations Katie & Richard!
