Rock the Dress. Trash the Dress. Day After Session. Post Wedding Portraits. It’s all the same thing really, just a different way to say that you got dressed up again in your gorgeous wedding clothes and had a fun and fabulous photo shoot that had none of the stresses of your wedding. Seriously, why wouldn’t you want to play wedding dress-up?
Jenny and I got together a few days ago in my studio so we could play wedding dress up. It’s been a few years since Jenny was married, but wowee, did she look great in her dress! We started off in the studio and Jenny broke out her cowboy boots and hat to go with the dress. She looked adorable, I especially love how relaxed she looks and I love when she is laughing. Afterwards we headed off to the creepy sprinkler room in my building (I love this space, it looks perfect for a horror movie) where we played with even more dramatic light and I love how she contrasts so gorgeously in such pretty, formal clothes against a pretty industrial looking background. These are a few of my favourite shots from the session.

Calgary Wedding Photographer… please?
I really want to photograph more weddings in Calgary just for a change of scenery and to have more excuses to visit. Of course, weddings in Banff, Canmore and Jasper would be awesome too… so let’s make it happen this year! If you are getting married in Calgary, Banff, Canmore or Jasper, get in touch!! Also would love to photograph weddings in Red Deer and Drumheller.
Edmonton Wedding Photographer | 2011 weddings update
This past weekend was my first wedding of 2011 and it was a great one. Really, to start the season with the first wedding at Hotel MacDonald has to be a good thing! Pretty excited for this year because I get to travel away from Edmonton a little for weddings. So far I’ve got Canmore, Lake Louise and Lloydminster to look forward to in addition to all of the Edmonton weddings. I do hope to have a few in Calgary though, and to help that, for new 2011 and 2012 weddings in Calgary, there are no travel fees! There’s still a few prime dates left for 2011 too!
