Hey all! Thought I’d give a bit of an update on how things been going over the Summer here at ENV Photography! I am up to my ears in weddings, and have spent the day configuring a new speedy computer system that will help my get more work done! I’m a little behind on the blog posts, but hoping to catch up in the next few weeks. I actually have a break this weekend coming… my first weekend off in I don’t know how long! Don’t get me wrong, i love weddings, but I think I’ll enjoy having Saturday to myself to sleep in! Also to super happy to have my Derek back after he went to Europe for most of August. He had an awesome time in Germany and Holland, i’m just jealous that I wasn’t able to go with him! The kittiens and I missed him terribly! He took some great photos and I think he has developed a liking for photography! Perhaps I will have my honey shooting weddings with me before long! Things have also been busy with meeting new couples and booking awesome weddings for 2011! I’m pretty darn excited! Ok, off to drag myself home… must leave the studio… G’night!

Thursday, August 26th, 2010Lindsay and Cory’s wedding in Edmonton on July 31, 2010 had lots of cool details. Cory had proposed to Lindsay in Las Vegas, so small gambling details were a great idea to add as a theme. The colours for the wedding were purple and green, one of my favourite colour combinations (my wedding colours were purple and green, although on the super bright end of the spectrum). I adored the cake and the awesome ribbon detail and look at the tiny dice that were on the programs. Later into the night, you had to roll a pair of dice to get the couple to kiss, very cool!
Edmonton Banff Photographers | Lisanne & Dale’s beautiful Rocky Mountain wedding at the Fairmont Banff Springs
Friday, August 20th, 2010Two weeks ago I found myself on the way to Calgary in anticipation on Lisanne and Dale’s wedding in Banff on Augest 7th. The ceremony and reception were at the Fairmont Banff Springs and it was absolutely amazing! Lisanne was a beautiful bride and Dale looked pretty darn dashing too! The lovely bridesmaids were one of my favourite dresses of all time! The ceremony was in Mt Stephen Hall and was gorgeous. The ring bearer had a great strut going down the aisle and was so cute! After the ceremony we headed out to the Cascade Gardens for some photos with the bridal party before whisking Dale and Lisanne away to Surprise Corner for the iconic images of the Banff Springs in the background, then off to the Bow Falls for a few more wedding portraits before it started to rain and we headed back to the hotel. We found Mt Stephen Hall transformed for the reception and the tables adorned with magnificent hydrangea centrepieces! (Will show off more decor in another post!). The speeches were beautiful, the dancing was fun and I’m still excited by the bagpipes!! It’s was a fantastic wedding and I’m so happy we could be there to capture every fabulous moment! Edmonton Wedding Photographers | Lindsay & Cory’s wedding at Convocation Hall & Sutton Place Hotel
Monday, August 9th, 2010Last Saturday (July 31) I joined Lindsay at Sutton Place Hotel where she was getting ready with her girls in anticipation of her fabulous wedding day. Trish joined the boys at Lindsay and Cory’s home before we all got together for the ceremony at Convocation Hall. Before we got to the ceremony, of course, I had lots of fun photographing the details, like Lindsay’s beautiful dress and her awesome silver sequined Pumas that she wore under her dress.
The stage was set with a gorgeous backdrop from A Chair to Remember (which also showed up at the reception, looking gorgeous, along with fabulous table linens and chair covers) and beautiful flowers from The Wild Orchid.
After the ceremony, we took the family photos by the Arts building before heading off with the wedding party to Chintz and Co. At first we planned to just shoot outside with the awesome green walls, but a little bit of sweet-talking (by Trish, of course) found us shooting inside the store, surrounded by fabulous decor!
Afterwards, we headed over to Sutton Place for the reception that was absolutely spectacular and expertly co-ordinated by Juli from A Modern Proposal.
It was a beautiful wedding with two wonderful people and I’m so happy I was lucky enough to capture it!
