I just got home from a mini boudoir marathon that I had over the weekend in Calgary. What I great time I had! The ladies were all fantastic! While I’m not able to show all of the sessions, do take a peek at the La Coquette blog to see a few samples in the next few days! Thanks to all the gorgeous ladies who came out for the sessions over the weekend!

Boudoir marathon in Calgary
Sunday, October 25th, 2009Night time shoot in the Distillery District in Toronto with Terra
Wednesday, October 21st, 2009This past week I was in Toronto visiting family and friends. Terra (who used to live in Edmonton, she was actually one of the first people I met when I moved here) and I got together to do a fun experimental night lighting shoot in the Distillery District. What an awesome part of town to shoot in (can you say ideal for a wedding???) and, of course, a hot model who knows how to work the camera can’t hurt! Here’s just a few that I’ve had a chance to poke at so far.

Edmonton wedding – Chris and Lexie got married!
Wednesday, October 21st, 2009Chris and Lexie were married on a chilly Saturday in early October. It’s taken me a little time to get there post up because a few hours after I got home from their wedding, I was about to board a plane to head to Chicago and then to Toronto. I’m finally back and now I must show off just how gorgeous their day was!
I joined Lexie and the girls and Lexie’s parent house to get ready. Lexie’s dress was just beautiful! Her little dog Kasper seemed to like it a lot too as he kept staring at it in the window. The flowers were gorgeous and the Lexie gave all of her ladies awesome jewellery to wear. Trisha joined the guy’s a Chris’s Mom’s house, but I will show some of those later!
We headed off to the Holy Rosary church. I raced ahead, surprised that I didn’t get a speeding ticket in the attempt to get there before them and see the ladies arrive in the limo. The ceremony was beautiful – helps that the church had such great light!
Since it was cold and snowing that day, we opted to do photos inside and went to Telus Plaza where we encountered a little trouble with security who eventually decided to let us stay and we went to Shaw conference centre. On the way to the reception we stopped at Chris’s grandfather’s house for a few photos as he wasn’t feeling well enough to make it out that day.
The reception was held at an awesome log cabin styled hall in northern Edmonton called the Country Lodge and it was decorated beautifully. I loved the loft upstairs where everyone was hanging out before the big entrance. The decor was beautiful and the food was fantastic!
We ended the night to same great dancing! It was a joy!
