Saturday, March 21st, 2009

Wow! The marathon is tomorrow and it’s booked solid! I just picked up a bunch of beautiful flowers from Flowers by Merle and I have a few other goodies to play with. Please feel free to bring other items to have your rings photographed with! I’m so excited for tomorrow!

Danny and Chanell got married – Winter wedding in Edmonton!

Sunday, March 15th, 2009

I was in such a panic this past week because we have had -30 degree temps leading up to Chanell and Danny’s wedding on Friday March 13, 2009. Luckily it warmed up considerably and no fingers or toes were lost in the making of this beautiful wedding! We started the day at Fantasyland Hotel where the girls where getting ready in the Roman Room. We then hopped along to St Paul’s Anglican for the ceremony for 6 pm and I am still in love with the gorgeous purple draping of the rafters! After the ceremony went headed off to Fort Edmonton Park to take lots of photos before going to the reception at Egge’s Barn. We played outside but headed into the historic houses because the wind picked up and it started to get chilly! No worries about the cold though once we got to the barn! The energy and all the dancing warmed it up in a hurry! Here’s just a few shots of the wonderful day… See the slide show!

Chanell and Danny’s wedding rehearsal!

Thursday, March 12th, 2009

I managed to get out of work early today and I went out to scout locations at Fort Edmonton Park for Chanell and Danny’s wedding tomorrow before I met with them at the church to check out the rehearsal. I like to drop by the rehearsal whenever possible so I get a chance to see the light and find the best vantage points before the big day. I am super excited for the wedding tomorrow and I’m hoping the cool silo-esque background won’t be cluttered by cars so we can use it! The church is just beautiful and I love the view from the balcony. Also really looking forward to photographing the dancing… the bridal party was practicing the Jive at the back of the church! What fun!

I want a wedding in Jasper, AB!

Wednesday, March 4th, 2009

My husband and I try to visit Jasper at least once a year, but it’s been quite a while since we’ve had the chance. I want to go and shoot photos of Maligne Canyon and Athabasca Falls. I want to photograph the wildlife (and hopefully not get into a scuffle with the big-horned sheep, unlike the last trip). I have also decided that I REALLY want to shoot a wedding in Jasper with the mountains and the Falls in the background, maybe on the bridge at Pyramid Lake, and strolling down the streets with the Elk and friends. And what a great place for Rock the Dress session. So, I am totally willing to photograph a wedding in Jasper, with no additional travel fees, just the regular wedding rates, just because I want to do it so badly! I’ll also throw in a Rock the Dress session the day after! Crossing my fingers I’ll be lucky enough to get to photograph a wedding there…. I think I will try and cross my toes too!

Free RING SHOT marathon, chez moi on Sunday, March 22, 2009

Sunday, March 1st, 2009

It may or or may not be obvious by now, but I love engagement and wedding rings! I love them so much that I am obsessed with photographing them!

To fuel my obsession, I am offering a FREE ring shot session at my home on Sunday, March 22, 2009 from 10 am to 4 pm. I will need about 15 minutes of your time while I work my magic on your rings to produce a work of art! Check out the posting on bride.ca about my ring shots. They called them stunning!

While you are waiting, my army of four cats will be sure to entertain while you enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and something to nibble on. I will also have a certified wedding planner on site for you chat with and keep you company while I photograph your rings. Not a bad deal, hey??

So, you might be wondering what’s in it for you? Well, I will provide the hi-res files with permission to print of the best shots from your session and a 5×7 print of your favourite photograph, and that’s it! Your ring shot could be used for your Save The Date cards, as placeholders at the reception, etc.

Please do bring along any items or props with esthetic or sentimental value that you would like to have in the composition of your rings. I will, of course, have lots of other items to use as well.

Please contact me to set up your appointment and get my address.

***Please be advised that I do have 4 lovely cats, so if you do have allergies, you can still do the shoot, but I’m not sure how much fun it will be to hang out on the porch!

Be sure to tell your friends!
