Derek and I took part in Earth Hour last night. The mad rush to light candles and the hunt for a fire source was interesting – and we realized that we need to buy matches and a lighter! Luckily I found a lonely match a few minutes before the magic hour and lit it using the stove – oh so classy!
The Weather Network had suggested that people send in photographs of what they did during the hour and I opted to try and photograph the furballs by candlelight. Violet was the only one who would co-operate. Doesn’t she look adorable? I haven’t submitted the photos yet, but it was a good idea!
Violet couldn’t resist the cinnamon smell of the candles, even though though the heat and light hurt her poor little eyes, she kept trying to get closer.

Wow! What an amazing parade of rings!! There were 20 sessions in total on Sunday and I’m having trouble picking my favourite shots! I have managed to edit and post one shot from each sessions there are lots more to come. Each session will get it’s own post with the chance to show off!
A big thank you to Juli at A Modern Proposal Event Planning for hanging out all day and keeping my guests company. I’m also totally happy with the awesome flowers from Flowers by Merle. Also, an especially big thank you to all the fabulous ladies (and gents) that braved the crappy roads to join us! Keep your eyes peeled for more photos, coming soon!

I’m a little slower in getting through them all than I thought! Hopefully will have a few teasers up tonight!!
So, Serena wasn’t able to make it tomorrow so she popped by for a visit today so we could photograph this beautiful ring that was her Aunt’s… before she transforms it into a necklace! Serena and her son Logan helped keep the cats at bay, as they so wanted a snack of kitty salad (roughly translated – the pricey box of flowers I purchased for the marathon). These are definitely helping me to get warmed up for tomorrow!
